VisitFlorida is a good place as any to start your research. The State of Florida website is MyFlorida and that would be from the heart of Florida - worth a check.

Another great site is Resort and Lodges Florida section full of information on hotels, travel lodges and places to explore. Not for house hunting though but you will need to stay somewhere until you find a home you like. Mind you this is all high end top notch hotels. You may prefer to rent a holiday home in Florida and an agency with reasonable properties appears to be PRV Vacation Homes but do contact and check them.
